February 25 sees the fourth edition of the BITKOM Big Data Summit, an event hosted by Germany’s digital association in order for the top players in the industry to come together and exchange their knowledge and experience. In line with this year’s motto “Big Data as a Business Enabler”, we’re contributing our first-class expertise. The highlight is a talk in which we’ll present a new and necessary way of thinking and of implementing complex digital plans. We call it “Data Thinking”.
A program packed with big data expertise
More than 500 technology providers and users, political representatives, strategy and innovation consultants and scientists will be meeting at Congress Park Hanau. All participants will have the opportunity to exchange knowledge about developments, experiences and results in every aspect of big data, to advance their projects and to discuss innovative solutions.
Joining Karl-Heinz Streibich (“Digital Disruption, Digital Transformation”) as keynote speakers are Cornelia Schaurecker, Head of Volkswagen Data Lab, and Thomas Sauer, Head of Daimler AG’s Center of Excellence Big Data. The program also contains a whole range of exciting sessions, two of which are particularly worth highlighting:
Data Thinking – new thinking for new digital goals
Under the title “Code Name: Data Thinking”, *um Chief Data Scientists Klaas Bollhoefer is presenting a real turning point in the consideration and implementation of complete and complex data projects. In 2015 he started to combine the trend-setting “Design Thinking” – in the form of his Data Science Process Model, which was acclaimed by Gartner – with a stringent, comprehensive approach. The resulting process model, called “Data Thinking”, will be presented for the first time at the Summit and will be described in detail based on many success stories of data and strategy projects that have already been implemented.
In addition, our data scientists Till Breuer and Dr. Christian Nietner will also be highlighting the significance of “Deep Learning for Industry 4.0”. In a cross-sector use case the pair will be assisted by specific applications and other aides to show and explain how deep learning and AI can be implemented in the industry sector very successfully and without great complexity.
